How to read the Taíba forecast

Same regime as Cumbuco, less than 30 km away: light in the morning, filling in late morning, peaking late afternoon. The practical difference is that with far fewer people you can ride the peak without competing for space.

Use the afternoon average to pick your kite and the peak to decide when to come in. Because the beach has a wave section near the cliffs, strong wind at high tide there makes for a far more technical session than the number suggests.

What the model cannot see

Lagoa da Taíba is seasonal and depends on that year’s rainfall. This page forecasts the beach — if the lagoon is full, it will see similar wind, but cleaner and without swell.
